The following terms and conditions will be enforced by the Verandah Motel owners;
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Reception has no fixed hours but is usually open in the morning. The manager if not on-site, is always available or reachable by telephone: 07 5402 3204.
Check-in time: from 2 pm. The key is put inside a safe and the code to open the safe is sent to the guests. Alternatively, a code to open a key box will be communicated to the guest after payment is made, the day of check-in.
Check-out time is 10am. Late check-out only if pre-approved by management and has a cost: check-out by 11:00 am: $20 charge; after 11 am: a full night charge applies.
Baby cots and extra single mattress are not available.
Reservations are not transferable.
CANCELLATION POLICY
At the time of making a reservation, all guests will be required to provide a current and valid credit card number to confirm and secure the reservation.
At check-in, we may ask for Photo ID and payment card to verify the identity of the guest.
We have a 24h cancellation policy (not applicable for non-refundable bookings). The guest can cancel free of charge until 1 day before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel within 1 day before arrival or in case of no-show. No prepayment is needed. Full payment is charged the day of check in.
Group bookings have extended cancellation policies which will be specifically advised at the time the booking is confirmed. Prepayment terms will have to be agreed between the group organizer and the Verandah Motel manager.
NON-SMOKING ROOMS. NO CANDLES, NO INCENSE, NO VAPING, NO DRUG ALLOWED
In the event of any physical evidence, or residual odour, which indicates that smoking of any form has taken place inside a guest room, a charge of $200 will be made against the credit card provided to the motel at the time of making the booking and/or at the time of checking in. This charge will cover the cost of bond cleaning the room, and of laundering all bedding.
ZERO TOLERANCE PARTY POLICY OR EXCESSIVE NOISE
In the interests of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the motel, a no party policy applies to all guests staying at the property. Guests are expected to always be respectful of other guests, and to be quiet between 10pm and 7am. No group congregations in individual guest rooms are permitted or tolerated. Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy. The Property reserves the right to evict any additional occupants in the room or Guests due to their conduct and behaviour, discriminating manner, harassment or endangering other guests or Management or for any other safety, security, medical reasons. Neatness and hygiene should be adequately maintained by the Guest who should always adhere to the safety and security.
PETS
Except for certified assistance or service animals, all pets are strictly forbidden inside guest rooms. Any guests breaching this rule will face immediate eviction and a $200 cleaning fee for bond cleaning and any soft furnishings affected.
Pets in vehicles may only be permitted by prior specific arrangement.
COOKING
Cooking in guest rooms 1 to 8 is only possible with the use of the kettle, microwave and toaster provided. Fees for additional cleaning may apply should guests cook inside a guest room.
Cooking is possible in the cottage, and the guests are required not leave the oven/ stove unattended.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
Any damage to motel property, whether accidental or wilful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.
There are extra pillows in each room. At check out, charges will apply: $40 per missing pillow, $30 per missing blanket, $100 per missing bed cover, $200 for a change of lock if the room key is not returned.
MISCELLANEOUS
If you have any allergies, sensitivities or intolerance to, it is the Guests responsibility to advise The Property takes no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced whilst on the premises due to the acts and omissions of the guests themselves. Lost property found on the premises is kept a few days in a secure location, then is either disposed of or donated to charity. The Property accepts no responsibility for contacting individuals in relation to lost property. Claimed items can be collected from the Property or the Property can arrange postage on behalf of the guest at their expense.
The Property does not accept any liability for any loss financial or otherwise, travel delay including from airport, injury, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control: flight delays or cancellations, civil disturbance, defects in vehicles , equipment or machinery, strikes, theft, acts of terrorism, natural disaster, war, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, changes to Government regulations.
MANAGERS DISCRETION
Management is entitled to exercise discretion and either revoke a booking or resell a room in the following instances:
• If a guest arrives to check-in in an intoxicated or disruptive state or
• Did not confirm the booking or forwarded deposit monies by the required date or
• Fails to arrive within a reasonable time of the advised ETA. The onus is on the guest to advise of any delays for arrival time.
Group Bookings will be accepted at the discretion of the managers after an assessment has been made as to any likely disruption to other guests.
Prices are inclusive of ten percent (10%) GST.
